- Location: Sheffield (This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office)

Your work will support decision-making across a range of education, skills and labour market programmes, helping to ensure investment delivers positive outcomes for residents, communities and businesses.

About the role
- Analyse data relating to education, skills and employment programmes to assess performance, outcomes and impacts
- Support monitoring and evaluation of programmes such as the Adult Skills Fund, Skills Bootcamps and Apprenticeships
- Identify trends within labour market and economic data to inform policy development and strategic decision-making
- Produce reports, dashboards and visualisations that communicate complex information clearly and effectively
- Work with internal teams, training providers and external partners to gather, validate and interpret data
- Support the development and improvement of management information systems and reporting processes
- Ensure data is accurately managed, quality assured and compliant with data protection and governance requirements
- Provide evidence and insight for strategies, business cases, briefings and decision-making processes
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through effective use of data and performance information
This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to influence policy, commissioning and programme delivery while supporting some of South Yorkshire's key skills and economic priorities.
About you
- Education to degree standard in a relevant subject, or equivalent professional experience, including significant knowledge of statistical techniques, data quality and data sharing.
- Experience analysing and interpreting data to support decision-making and performance improvement
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work confidently with large and complex datasets
- Experience using data visualisation and reporting tools to communicate findings to a variety of audiences
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and an interest in developing expertise across analytical and business intelligence tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in a clear and accessible way
- Experience building positive relationships with stakeholders and collaborating across teams
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of data governance, quality assurance and data protection principles
- A proactive and inquisitive approach, with a passion for using evidence to improve outcomes

Holiday Entitlement – From 28 to 36 days annual leave entitlement (depending on length of service) plus bank holidays. Pro-rata for part time colleagues.
