Position Summary
The organization is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals with OCD, anxiety, and related disorders.
The LCSW will work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team and provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy, as well as participate in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The role involves close collaboration with other therapists to provide coordinated care for patients with more complex clinical needs.
Depending on experience and interest, there may also be opportunities to participate in clinical research, program development, mentorship, and professional education.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, family, and couples psychotherapy to patients with OCD, anxiety, and related disorders.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, ERP, DBT, ACT, CPT, and PE.
- Participate in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and provide care for patients with higher-acuity clinical needs.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical presentation.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment approaches when appropriate.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, coping strategies, and behavioral health management.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in treatment planning and case discussions for shared patients.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of clinical programs and treatment protocols.
- Stay current with research and advancements in evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety, and related disorders.
- Depending on experience, provide mentorship, supervision, or guidance to early-career clinicians and trainees.
- Participate in research, presentations, or other professional development activities as appropriate.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience treating OCD, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or related behavioral health conditions.
- Experience utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, ERP, DBT, ACT, CPT, or PE.
- Strong interest in treating OCD and related disorders.
- Comfortable working with patients presenting with complex or higher-acuity clinical needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience treating high-acuity or complex psychiatric populations in hospital, residential, inpatient, or intensive outpatient settings.
- Experience treating eating disorders, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or other complex behavioral health conditions.
- Research experience, publications, presentations, or academic contributions related to OCD, anxiety, or related disorders.
- Experience mentoring or supervising clinicians, trainees, or early-career professionals.
- Strong interest in clinical research and advancing evidence-based behavioral health treatment.
