Role Responsibilities
TCCI is looking to grow our Global Quality organization in Decatur, IL. In support of our growth and new market opportunities, we are seeking a highly skilled CMM Programmer to join our dynamic team. As a member of the Metrology team, you will be responsible for developing and refining our metrology methods.

Key Responsibilities
CMM Programming & Inspection
• Develop, debug, and maintain offline and online CMM programs using 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, receiving, and final inspections on complex machined and cast components.
• Select, calibrate, and configure appropriate metrology equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
Metrology & Quality Control Systems
• Interpret complex engineering prints using GD&T
• Conduct Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies and support Statistical Process Control (SPC) data collection.
• Maintain calibration schedules and routine preventive maintenance for CMM machines and precision manual measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
• Analyze dimensional measurement data to generate clear, comprehensive inspection reports
• Collaborate with machining, manufacturing engineering, and quality teams to investigate non-conformances (NCRs) using root-cause analysis techniques.
• Identify opportunities to optimize inspection cycle times and standard operating procedures to increase throughput.
Key Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on experience programming and operating CMM equipment in a precision manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience working with precision machining, castings, or automotive/commercial vehicle components.
• Expert ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T principles.
• Strong proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, or MCOSMOS).
• Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with CNC machines
• Experience in SPC and MSA/GR&R
• Knowledge of PPAP and Quality Core tools
• ASQ or Six Sigma certification
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical experience is preferred.
