THE JOB
The Joint Ventures Finance & Accounting group within our Touring division is in search of a highly motivated individual to join its team as a Senior Accountant II. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about music, possesses a professional work ethic, has strong accounting skills and is excited to learn and take on challenges. This is a role in a dynamic division on a fantastic team with prominent level of responsibility and is a blend of transactional and intermediate to advanced level Accounting. Self-motivated and multitasking ability are qualities that will be part of what helps an individual succeed in this role.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Lead monthly operational finance reviews with business leaders, serving as a primary finance partner by presenting financial performance, project updates, forecasts, variance analyses, and actionable insights to support business decision-making.
- Support the monthly general ledger close process and related deliverables, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, intercompany charges, project allocations, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain, analyze, and reconcile moderately to extraordinarily complex general ledger accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy and researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Manage external and internal Accounts Receivable balances and schedules, including detailed reconciliations and correcting entries, and support cash account reconciliations in partnership with Accounts Payable.
- Support the annual budgeting process, including cost allocations, forecasting, and related financial analysis.
- Analyze and report on general ledger activity and financial performance, including month over month and year over year variance analysis, and prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports and schedules.
- Ensure accounting activities comply with GAAP, company policies and procedures, and applicable SOX requirements.
- Provide guidance and dotted line supervision to junior accounting staff, including support with balance sheet account reconciliations, bank and cash account reconciliations, close activities, and other assigned responsibilities.
- Support special projects and perform additional duties as needed.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting or comparable professional experience.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Strong accounting knowledge with demonstrated experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month end close, and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong business partnering and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall computer skills.
- Oracle experience preferred.
- Ability to work extended hours as business needs and reporting schedules require, including occasional evenings and weekends.

The expected compensation for this position is:
$76,000.00 USD - $95,000.00 USD** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
