[Job-30949] Sr/Principal Data Architect, Brazil

We are looking for a Senior / Principal Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of modern, scalable, and AI-ready data architectures for complex enterprise environments.

This is a senior technical leadership role requiring strong expertise in Data Architecture, Cloud, modern data platforms, and emerging AI/Agentic approaches for Data. The ideal candidate will be able to translate complex business requirements into robust technical architectures while providing technical direction and guidance to engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define scalable, secure, high-performance data architectures aligned with business and technology strategies.
• Act as a technical reference and architecture leader for Data Engineering and Analytics teams.
• Define architecture patterns, standards, best practices, and technology strategies for modern data platforms.
• Design and evolve Lakehouse / Cloud Data Platform architectures using modern technologies.
• Lead architecture initiatives involving Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Design and implement data solutions across AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Define data integration, ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, security, and consumption patterns.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions based on scalability, performance, cost, security, and business value.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analytics teams, Product Managers, and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering teams and support architectural decision-making.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of AI-ready data architectures, including solutions leveraging Agents and Agentic approaches for Data.
• Explore and apply Agentic AI patterns, AI Agents, and SDD (Specification-Driven Development) in modern data engineering and architecture scenarios.
• Ensure architecture decisions follow enterprise standards for security, governance, quality, scalability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced English – C1 or above, with strong communication skills in international environments.
• Extensive experience in Data Architecture and Data Engineering, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Databricks OR Snowflake.
• Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS OR Azure.
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture patterns, including Lakehouse, data platforms, data integration, data modeling, and data governance.
• Experience designing end-to-end data solutions and translating business requirements into technical architecture.
• Strong knowledge of AI/Agentic approaches for Data, including AI Agents, Agentic Architecture, or Agentic Data solutions.
• Knowledge or practical experience with SDD (Specification-Driven Development) and its application to software/data engineering.
• Strong architectural decision-making and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with both Databricks and Snowflake.
• Experience with both AWS and Azure.
• Experience implementing LLM-powered solutions, AI Agents, or Agentic workflows.
• Experience with frameworks and technologies related to Generative AI and Agentic AI.
• Experience defining enterprise-level Data Governance, Security, and Data Quality strategies.
• Experience working with global teams and international clients.
