- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government-operated facility.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, perimeters, and parking locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
- Maintain a professional presence while supporting a respectful environment for individuals receiving services, employees, and visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
