Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - Registrar's Office - Proctor Examiner. The student worker will play a vital role in ensuring the secure, fair, and efficient administration of standardized examinations, such as the ATI TEAS. This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the testing process by enforcing examination policies, safeguarding confidential testing materials, and upholding the standards established by the testing organization. Depending on the testing session, the proctor may supervise between 5 and 30 examinees.

Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of exam content and protect examinee information in accordance with privacy regulations, institutional policies, and exam vendor requirements.
- Enforce all examination policies & procedures, including providing standardized instructions, monitoring time limits, an ensuring compliance with copyright restrictions and exam-specific regulations.
- Prepare the testing environment by verifying computer functionality, ensuring required testing materials and supplies are available, arranging the testing space, resolving basic technical issues as needed.
- Check-in examinees by verifying their identify.
- Monitoring examinees throughout the exam to ensure compliance with testing rules, identify prohibited behavior, and document and report incidents of suspected misconduct or irregularities.
- Secure and monitor examines’ personal belongings in accordance with testing policies.
- Respond to examinees’ questions regarding testing procedures.
- Collect, organize, and secure all testing materials, including and confidentiality of the examination process.
- Complete and maintain all required annual proctor certification and trainings.
- Perform administrative duties related to exam administration, including recording attendance, communicating with departments or schools, entering data, maintain testing records, and supporting other examination-related activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to address small groups.
- Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

- Earned a High School diploma.
- Ability to work alone and independently, self-directed, and able to multitask.

Work Hours:
This position will work 4-5 hours per week based on the allotted time per exam. Student employees can work up to 19.5 hours per week.
Hourly Rate:
$14.00 per hour.
