Sales Engineer
Job Purpose
To achieve sales targets by developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and promoting the company's products and solutions within the assigned territory. The Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying customer requirements, providing technical solutions, preparing quotations, and supporting customers throughout the sales cycle to drive revenue growth.
Major Accountabilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and key stakeholders.
- Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close sales orders.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Application Engineering, Production, Logistics, and Accounts to ensure timely order execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and CRM updates.
- Participate in exhibitions, seminars, and promotional activities.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and resolve customer issues effectively.
- Prepare periodic sales reports and submit them to management.

- Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
- Revenue growth in the assigned territory.
- Number of new customers acquired.
- Customer retention and satisfaction.
- Timely submission of quotations and proposals.
- Conversion rate of enquiries into orders.

Job Specific Requirements
Education :
- B.Tech. in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
Languages:
- Hindi/ English
Experience:
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in industrial electrical products, automation, or hazardous area equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Generate enquiries and convert them into sales orders.
- Develop new customers while maintaining existing accounts.
- Conduct technical discussions with consultants, contractors, OEMs, EPC companies, and end users.
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
- Follow up on quotations until order finalization.
- Coordinate with internal teams for order processing and timely deliveries.
- Handle customer complaints and provide technical support whenever required.
- Monitor market developments and competitor activities.
- Prepare weekly sales plans and monthly sales reports.
- Ensure timely payment collection from customers.
- Maintain customer information and sales data in the company's reporting system.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, seminars, and customer meetings.
- Travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Explosion protection technique
Good knowledge of hazardous area classifications, ATEX/IECEx concepts, flameproof (Ex d), increased safety (Ex e), intrinsic safety (Ex i), and explosion protection products.
