Job Summary:
As a Sports & Recreation Coordinator, you will support the planning and execution of leagues, events, and on-campus sports facilities. In this role, you will foster community engagement, assist with daily operations, and help create memorable experiences while ensuring user satisfaction.Responsibilities:
Assist with the daily operations of the Sports & Recreation department, ensuring smooth and efficient program delivery.
Promote programs, leagues, and events through appropriate communication channels to drive participation and engagement
Organize and coordinate leagues, tournaments, and events, contributing to a high standard of user satisfaction.
Coordinate with internal departments, client contacts, vendors, and community partners as needed to support programs and events.
Manage and update field schedules, monitor facility usage, and facilitate roster signups.
Track and maintain sports equipment and facilities to ensure they are in excellent condition.
Provide exceptional customer service through positive, daily interactions with users to enhance their experiences.
Align program activities with client goals and departmental strategies to support success.
Collect user feedback, monitor program participation, and assist in implementing improvements.
Follow established safety, risk management, and facility policies, and appropriately document and report incidents or concerns
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications
1+ years of experience in sports management, recreation operations, intramural activities, or customer service (internships included).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent tools.
Enthusiasm for sports and recreation, with a passion for fostering community and delivering outstanding user experiences.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an outgoing personality and a focus on customer service excellence.
Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
