Job Description
As a member of the Maintenance team, the Millwright performs maintenance and reliability activities throughout all CPNA facilities and is responsible for planning, scoping, and executing repair, installation, and maintenance work.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Use mechanical and electrical skills to install, maintain, and repair production equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities, including:
- Thermography
- Oil analysis
- Inspections
- Set up, calibrate, and adjust equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures involving:
- Hydraulics
- Drive trains
- Gearboxes
- Read, understand, and explain blueprints and technical documents.
- Operate machine and hand tools such as:
- Lathes
- Drill presses
- Grinders
- Apply knowledge of:
- Hydraulic systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Rigging
- Welding
- Crane equipment
- Continuously seek improvement in key performance indicators.
- Safely operate forklifts and radio-controlled overhead cranes.
Minimum Required Experience & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years in a mechanical maintenance role
- 2 years of blueprint reading experience
- 2 years of millwright experience
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
- Associate degree in Mechanical or related field
- 5 years of millwright experience
- 10 years of mechanical maintenance experience
- Journey-level millwright state certification
- Welding certification
- Experience with TPM or RCM maintenance
- Experience with SAP Maintenance Module
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to interpret technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagram form.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems using principles of:
- Mechanics
- Electricity
- Fluid dynamics
- Ability to understand and operate moderately complex tools, machines, and systems.
- Proficiency with computer applications including:
- Microsoft Office
- SAP
- Maintains knowledge of machine capacity and develops solutions for efficient utilization.
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
- Adheres to all safety rules and regulations, including good housekeeping practices.
- Provides maintenance support during non-scheduled work hours and participates in on-call duties as needed.
- Works with plant supervisors to ensure environmental compliance with local and federal regulations, including hazardous waste removal and tracking.
