Job Description
The Organization Design & Workforce Planning Lead is responsible for leading workforce planning, organization design, workforce analytics, talent planning and employee transition activities required to support integration planning and execution. This role serves as the primary owner for workforce-related analyses, organizational design scenarios, talent and leadership tracking, workforce transition planning, and culture-related insights that inform critical integration decisions.
Working closely with HR, business leaders, Finance, Legal, and the Integration Management Office (IMO), this role develops workforce strategies, leads organization design analyses, facilitates talent and workforce planning discussions, and provides recommendations that support the creation of an effective and sustainable future-state organization.
Key Responsibilities
Workforce Planning & Analytics
Serve as the central owner for workforce-related data, analytics, and reporting supporting integration planning and execution.
Maintain workforce inventories, employee datasets, position inventories, and organizational data across the organization.
Develop workforce dashboards, reports, and analytics to support leadership decision-making.
Analyze workforce composition, organizational structure, talent distribution, and integration impacts.
Support workforce cost modeling, analyses, and organization design scenario planning activities.
Identify workforce risks, opportunities, and planning considerations and provide recommendations to leadership.
Translate complex workforce data into actionable insights for executive and governance discussions.
Organization Design
Support current-state and future-state organization design activities.
Develop and maintain organizational structures, reporting relationships, and position structures.
Conduct span of control, layer, role, and organization effectiveness analyses.
Develop and evaluate alternative organization design scenarios and assess impacts on structure, talent, cost, and execution.
Facilitate organization design working sessions and support business leaders in evaluating design tradeoffs.
Provide recommendations related to workforce structure, role design, and organizational effectiveness.
Talent, Culture & Workforce Integration Support
Own talent inventory and leadership tracking processes supporting selection and succession planning activities.
Track leadership and employee decisions and ensure alignment across planning assumptions and workforce plans.
Develop analyses and materials for talent reviews, leadership discussions, and decision forums.
Partner with the Talent & Culture Lead to support culture assessments, workforce diagnostics, and organizational effectiveness analyses.
Identify potential culture integration, retention, talent, and workforce risks and support mitigation planning.
Support development of workforce and culture-related metrics and reporting.
Integration Governance & Decision Support
Develop executive-ready reports, dashboards, presentations, and analyses for governance and leadership forums.
Prepare workforce planning, talent, organization design, and culture-related recommendations supporting decision-making.
Partner with senior leaders across HR, Finance, and business functions to align workforce assumptions and organizational decisions.
Track key workforce and organizational risks and recommend mitigation actions.
Support integration governance discussions with data-driven analyses, insights, and recommendations.
Ensure consistency and integrity across workforce planning tools, reports, assumptions, and decision documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Finance, or related field.
6+ years of experience in workforce planning, organization design, HR transformation, management consulting, integration management, or related disciplines.
Strong analytical and data management capabilities with experience handling large employee datasets.
Experience supporting organization design and workforce planning initiatives.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience developing executive-level presentations and decision materials.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, project management, and problem-solving skills.
