This role works collaboratively with nursing, physicians, supply chain, finance, and other multidisciplinary stakeholders to support value analysis activities, product and technology evaluations, and clinical standardization efforts.

This position is well suited for an early-career nurse who brings clinical experience, curiosity, strong communication skills, and an interest in supporting hospitals and healthcare teams with informed product and practice decisions. Success in this role requires the ability to build relationships, learn organizational needs, support multidisciplinary discussions, and contribute to projects that improve quality, efficiency, and member value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager is accountable for the following core areas of responsibility under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer:

Value Analysis

  • Support the development and ongoing improvement of value analysis processes for member organizations in various stages of value analysis maturity.
  • Support and coordinate Value Analysis Committee (VAC) activities, including agenda preparation, meeting support, follow-up, and documentation of decisions.
  • Assist in the evaluation of products, services, and technologies for clinical effectiveness, safety, quality impact, and overall value.
  • Support the development and implementation of value analysis policies, decision frameworks, and standardized review workflows, with the goal of helping members build sustainable internal processes.
  • Track VAC pipeline metrics, decision timelines, and realized savings or quality improvements, and assist in reporting results to leadership and member stakeholders.
  • Educate members on the use of the Clinicity tool and provide support to encourage effective adoption and ongoing value.

Clinical Standardization

  • Support efforts to standardize clinical products, devices, and practices across member organizations to reduce unnecessary variation.
  • Partner with physicians, nurses, supply chain teams, and other stakeholders to support clinical alignment and adoption of agreed-upon recommendations.
  • Help identify high-variation categories and participate in multidisciplinary initiatives that balance clinical preference with evidence and value.
  • Assist members in monitoring compliance with approved product formularies and identifying barriers to standardization.

New Technology Assessment

  • Support a structured process for evaluating emerging medical devices and technologies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary review processes that assess clinical needs, safety, outcomes, evidence, operational readiness, and financial impact.
  • Help manage the value analysis pipeline from intake through trial, decision, and post-implementation review.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and innovations to support informed recommendations and member education.

Evidence-Based Product Decisions

  • Gather and apply clinical literature, outcomes data, real-world evidence, and comparative effectiveness research to support product evaluation and recommendations.
  • Help maintain an organized evidence repository to support committee discussions and clinician education.
  • Contribute to clear documentation that outlines the evidence basis, clinical rationale, and anticipated impact of decisions.

Supply Chain Partnership

  • Support supply chain and contracting initiatives by providing clinical input, utilization insights, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Assist in monitoring utilization trends, product conversion performance, and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety.
  • Collaborate on recall response, backorder planning, and clinically appropriate product substitutions as needed.

Quality Improvement

  • Support alignment of value analysis efforts with patient safety goals, quality metrics, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with infection prevention, risk management, and patient safety stakeholders when product decisions intersect with quality and safety priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of clinical experience in a hospital, procedural, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Participation in multidisciplinary committees, team initiatives, or cross-functional projects preferred.
  • Experience in surgical and procedural areas preferred.
  • Early-career nurses with strong interest in clinical strategy, value analysis, and member support are encouraged to apply.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to learn and communicate clinical, operational, and financial information to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to support and educate members on core value analysis concepts and the Clinicity tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and follow through on tasks and timelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of hospital and healthcare stakeholders.

Core Competencies

  • Clinical credibility and evidence literacy.
  • Collaborative partnership and influence.
  • Change support and stakeholder alignment.
  • Data-informed decision-making.
  • Financial awareness and value focus.
  • Professional communication.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Standard administrative environment with frequent interaction with clinical and operational stakeholders across member organizations.
  • Hybrid work arrangement requiring presence in the Louisville office for a minimum of two (2) days per week; additional on-site presence may be required for meetings, member engagement, or product evaluations.
  • Travel to member sites, healthcare facilities, or vendor locations as needed.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work; ability to move through clinical areas during product evaluations or on-site visits.
