We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.
This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. We are welcoming new caregivers to collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams and contribute to nationally recognized, innovative neurological care. As a Department Manager, you will oversee 100 operating rooms across six buildings, including our brand-new Neurological Institute, serving both inpatient and outpatient settings. In this role, you will be responsible for staffing, annual budgets, workflow management, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also support scheduling and other administrative responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity to further develop and strengthen your leadership and management skills. Additionally, you will have access to the many professional development resources offered through Cleveland Clinic, including continuing education, specialized training, and other opportunities for growth.
A caregiver in this position works 2nd shift from 1:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Manage department operations and personnel.
- Complete staffing, training, workflow analysis and performance management.
- Manage staffing to ensure appropriate allocation and compliance with goals and objectives.
- Monitor quality and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with government health regulations, JCAHO guidelines, quality requirements and customer service standards.
- Recommend enhancement and cost-saving strategies.
- Resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure consistency in quality, procedure and policy application.
- Develop, monitor and implement programs to enhance customer service, develop skills and improve scope of service.
- Analyze programs and make improvements.
- Participate in manager meetings and relevant committees as assigned by Director.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Associate’s Degree and three years of team lead, supervisor or manager experience
- OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of experience
- OR Bachelor’s Degree and one year of experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or a related field
- Healthcare experience
- Patient Transport experience
- EVS Supervisory experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
