Forklift Operator PR05 - Curing - 2nd Shift

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.   

Functions:  

• To perform all work duties safely, as well as maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture.  

• Receive training as required.  

• Perform other duties/positions as required/assigned.  

Tasks:  

• Perform daily forklift inspection and submit documentation to supervisor.  

• Enter all data into SAP and scan all combos using EIM system.  

• Gather raw truck schedule and create dock papers for scanning of combos.  

• Unload combos and place on appropriate pallet and scan to location.  

• Review truck detail as compared to the bill of lading. Report any discrepancies.  

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.  

• Complete all required production documents and submit to supervisor daily.  

• Report any issues related to maintenance or quality of the product to supervisor.  

• Forklift certified or must become certified.   

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.  

• TM will pull pallets to the scale with a hook to verify weights.  

• Must be willing and able to lift and or move up to 50 pounds   

• The Team Member is frequently required to walk.   

• The Team Member will be regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme cold.    

• The Team Member will work in an environment where the noise level is usually very loud.  

Internal Requirements At Time Of Application: 

• You must not exceed more than 4 attendance points.  

• You must not have received a written warning within the last 3 months.  

• TM's who have won a bid will not be permitted to lateral bid for 6 months, TM can bid to a higher level job.  

• TM will be under a 2-week qualification period if supervisor disqualifies TM, then TM will return back to previous position.  

• TM has 2 weeks to notify HR from the date they physically start new position to disqualify themselves if so, they will return to previous position.  

• TM understands if they do self-disqualify to not continue in the awarded position they will not be allowed to bid for 6 months.  

• Probationary team members must have completed 90 days before they can be considered.
