The Production Operator Lab Analyst V is responsible for filling and analyzing graded compressed gas mixes and performing cylinder maintenance in a safe and professional manner. This position collaborates as a key backup support across all Lab Technician responsibilities as needed.

• Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Conforms to the requirements of the quality system, testing, or calibration methods relating to all analytical processes.
• Completes daily functions outlined in Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follows the Airgas cylinder filling, analytical and safety procedures.
• Completes filling documents, record production and analytical results for each product into PPM.
• Ensures complete and accurate laboratory documentation is performed at all times.
• Maintains calibration records for all weights, scales and thermometers per SOPs.
• Manually sets calibrations to analyze selected cylinders for purity, dew point, and other required qualities.
• Conducts a variety of safety checks per procedures, such as odor tests, checking caps and valves and accurately labels cylinders.
• Communicates transparently with supervisor/management regarding nonconforming items or analytical issues as they occur.
• Coordinates customer orders and aligns workflows based on ship dates and lead times through SAP.
• Move cylinders to proper staging areas after filling, such as quarantine, painting, and mixing.
• Shares timely updates on product and steel inventory with management.
• Properly maintains and labels cylinders as outlined per DOT and Quality compliance.
• Partners with production personnel to support product processes which include medical/food grade/industrial testing.
• Process specialty gas production planning
• Complete specialty gas filling
• Perform weekly calibration log recording and changing over of Inventory control of cal gases
• Calibration of equipment and maintaining logs including daily, weekly, monthly calibrations and
• BSCR posting
• Bulk receiving and entering into PPM

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with Associates Degree, or combined education and experience.
• Two years’ experience working with compressed gases and cylinders.
• One year experience in blending multi-component specialty gases mixtures.
• Ability to operate forklift and maintain appropriate forklift certifications.
• Familiarity with safe procedures for cylinder movement/handling.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Airgas S.O.P.s for Specialty and USP Gas filling and analysis.
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate sufficient product knowledge.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
