Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Patient Flow Coordinator, you will provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributing to our collaborative Team Medicine approach.
Every day you will assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and basic hygiene. You will also perform essential patient care activities such as vital signs, observation and reporting of signs and symptoms of disease state, posturals, and simple dressing changes.To be successful in this role, you will uphold Virginia Mason's commitment to patient safety and quality, benefiting from our Virginia Mason Production System, which continuously innovates healthcare delivery.
Job Requirements
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills and knowledge of VM information systems; and an understanding of diagnostic tests, coding, procedures, and preparation.
CPR certification required.
