What You'll Be Doing

The Operations Associate II - Corporate Action Services is responsible for aiding in driving departmental results by accurately processing complex income payments and advanced reconciliation activity within Corporate Action Services, as well as additional tasks which could require more experience and expertise to perform. This position requires a sound understanding of the corporate action lifecycle, including interpreting prospectus language and legal circulars to determine event entitlements and calculating pro-rata distributions, exchange ratios, and fractional share entitlements, while serving as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders. This position will require strong collaboration among team members and the ability to identify issues outside standard procedures, enhance operational workflows, and assist in training associates under direct supervision.

What We're Looking For

• Accurately process complex income payments such as interest, dividend, stock dividend, and spinoff components while adhering to departmental procedures and guidelines provided byleadership.
• Proficient processing of advanced reconciliation activity to resolve “breaks” between firm records and third-party custodians as well as additional higher-level tasks for the department.
• Identify potential problems or issues that fall outside of standard procedures and provide leadership with ways to improve operational efficiency.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills within the department and to key stakeholders.
• Provide timely updates on progression of job responsibilities to leadership.
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively both within a team and outside of the department.
• Assist in the advancement of both departmental and firm-wide initiatives when needed.
• Interpret complex prospectus language and legal circulars to determine event entitlements.
• Calculate pro-rata distributions, exchange rations, and fractional share entitlements.
• Investigate and resolve entitlement discrepancies and missed payments.
• Assist in the maintenance, updating, and enhancement of operational workflows and procedures.

• Able to handle large workloads that vary based on heavy volume periods.
• Ability to work autonomously throughout the day based on performance criteria provided by leadership.
• Ability to assist in training both new and existing associates on departmental processes regarding the advisory account services processes.

Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Required: 3+ years corporate action experience, including awareness of operational risk, and the corporate action lifecycle.

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  #LI-AS1
