DEPARTMENT OF GASTROENTEROLOGY

OCHSNER HEALTH – NEW ORLEANS REGION


Supported by health system growth, the Department of Gastroenterology at Ochsner Health – New Orleans Region is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible GASTROENTEROLOGIST to join its practice at our Jefferson Highway Campus as a GI HOSPITALIST.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE POSITION:

· Focus on inpatient, consultative and procedural, GI care

· Procedures to include EGD, colonoscopy, enteroscopy, PEGs – ability or willingness to learn deep enteroscopy preferred

· Schedule: 7 on / 7 off; or 14 on / 14 off

· Academic position at teaching hospital with GI fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students

· GI fellows always assigned to inpatient GI consultative team and take 1st call

· Separate inpatient hepatology and advanced endoscopy teams

· Join a highly collegial, 25-physician group comprised of general gastroenterologists, hepatologists, GI subspecialists, and advanced endoscopists

· 24/7 reliable hospitalists onsite

· Strong support from collaborative specialties, including surgery, oncology, radiology, and GI pathology

Compensation and Benefits:

· Salary range 525-600K, commensurate with experience and training
