Heating Engineer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Heating Engineer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £20.88 - £29.00 per hour

Summary:

An experienced Gas Engineer is required to deliver high-quality gas installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair work across the Council's housing stock and corporate properties. The role involves ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current gas regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out gas servicing, maintenance, repairs, installations, and testing in line with work orders and current gas safety regulations.
• Complete responsive repairs, planned works, void property works, and emergency call-outs as required.
• Use mobile devices to complete certification, reports, material orders, and follow-on work requests.
• Maintain vehicle stock, tools, PPE, and comply with health & safety and asbestos procedures.
• Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• ACS Gas Qualifications including CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, CENWAT1, MET1, HTR1, Range Cooker, and Unvented Hot Water.

Essentials:

• Current Gas Safe Registration.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training to maintain competency.
• Proven experience in gas servicing, maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Strong knowledge of Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
