As a Pharmacy Tech I at MercyOne Genesis, you will:

• Assist the Staff Pharmacists in providing professional Pharmacy services
• Perform in any functional area of the Department to provide accurate and efficient dispensing of medications

Schedule: 

• 36 hrs a week

• Rotating shifts

• Rotating weekends

• Rotating holidays

General Requirements: 

• High school diploma or GED

• Registration with the Illinois Dept of Financial and Professional Regulation within 60 days of employment as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. The Pharmacy technicians shall be required to submit proof of certification as a certified pharmacy technician, proof of enrollment in a first professional degree program in pharmacy, or proof of enrollment in clinical training by a graduate of a foreign pharmacy program for the first renewal or restoration that occurs after the license has been issued for at least 2 years, regardless of whether or not the license has been active, inactive, or not renewed. Annual pharmacy tech license renewal occurs by March 31st every other year.

• National Certified with a Nationally Accredited Certification Board within 1 year

• Must learn sterile compounding techniques
