Junior Structural Engineer

They are seeking an experienced Junior Structural Engineer to join their Pretoria team. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong and motivated professional who enjoys working on varied structural projects and is looking to further develop their expertise within a supportive consulting environment.
Responsibilities: Structural Design & Engineering • Assist with the design and analysis of structural engineering projects across various sectors. • Prepare structural calculations, reports, and technical documentation. • Develop structural designs in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. • Produce and review engineering drawings and specifications. Project Coordination • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery. • Assist with project planning, design coordination, and technical problem-solving. • Participate in site inspections and provide technical support during project implementation. • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders where required. Documentation & Compliance • Ensure designs and documentation comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. • Assist with the preparation of project reports and technical submissions. • Maintain accurate project records and documentation. Continuous Learning & Development • Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives. • Contribute positively to team knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement efforts. • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Requirements: • BEng in Civil Engineering with a structural focus. • Minimum of 4–7 years experience in structural engineering. • Professional registration with ECSA is essential. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Prokon and Revit will be highly advantageous. • Valid driver's licence.
