ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Provides analytical and technical support by preparing, monitoring, and completing loan documentation for the Loan Officers and other staff members.
- Receives complete application from lender and generates preliminary loan documents.
- Reviews underwriting requirements and requests verifications from customers.
- Orders title work, appraisal, flood certification.
- Requests homeowner’s insurance from borrower or insurance agent.
- Coordinates the file transition between Underwriter and Lender.
- Post-closing duties include but are not limited to:
- Funding loan
- Disbursing funds
- Record mortgage/deed package
- Upload documents accurately to Synergy
- Completes servicing duties including Payoff letter, AFT/ACH, daily maintenance
- Balancing and auditing accounts
- Ensures accuracy of bank records by maintaining knowledge of both state and federal bank regulations along with MBT Bank policies for the purpose of documentation, account information, and other services with current software program(s) for customer and internal customer needs.
- Understands basic underwriting guidelines and servicing duties.
- Inputs new account information and account maintenance on data base with accuracy and speed along with maintaining appropriate records.
- Maintains customer files for completeness by originating, researching, and clearing ticklers.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Builds customer relationships by assisting in non-essential duties involving fairs, parades, and other bank activities as required.
- Provides additional financial services to customers by responding to customer questions with referrals to MBT Investment Department, Insurance Department, Retail Bankers, and other banking departments.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Two or more years of banking experience and/or working knowledge of business office or bank functions is preferred.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in the use of basic office equipment, keyboarding, O365, web-based software, banking software, and overall computer navigation.
