Job Summary
• This role is responsible for supporting Records & Information Management (RIM) programs through records application assessments, application retirement initiatives, records technology coordination, and ongoing maintenance of records management tools. The role collaborates with business, IT, legal, privacy, and compliance stakeholders to ensure records requirements are integrated into application lifecycles, retirement projects, and records technology solutions while maintaining compliance with corporate governance and regulatory obligations.
Responsibilities
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of records management principles, records retention requirements, information governance standards, and application lifecycle management.
• Supports records application assessments by evaluating business applications, identifying records requirements, retention obligations, legal hold considerations, and disposition requirements.
• Coordinates application retirement initiatives, ensuring records are appropriately retained, migrated, archived, or defensibly disposed of in accordance with approved retention schedules and compliance requirements.
• Reviews and maintains records management system documentation, inventories, application assessment repositories, and project records to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
• Develops and maintains records application assessment templates, tracking tools, reporting dashboards, and governance documentation.
• Partners with business stakeholders, IT teams, privacy, legal, and compliance functions to identify records risks and implement remediation strategies during application modernization and retirement projects.
• Coordinates records technology projects, including enhancements, upgrades, migrations, testing activities, and deployment support for records management tools and platforms.
• Supports records governance reviews, audits, and compliance assessments to ensure records management requirements are consistently applied across systems and applications.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to less-experienced team members involved in records assessments, application retirement activities.
Education & Experience Recommended
• High School Diploma / General Education Diploma (GED) / Higher Secondary Education or equivalent work experience and demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-4 years of related experience in Records & Information Management, Information Governance, etc
