Our client, a leading luxury safari company, is seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a high‑end lodge in Uganda. This hands‑on role oversees daily operations, elevates guest experiences, and guides the team to deliver consistently exceptional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lodge Management Assistance:
- Assist the General Manager in daily operations, including scheduling, staff coordination, and resource management.
- Hosting meals with guests.
- Stepping in to support management when understaffed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and camp policies.
- Support staff training and development to enhance guest experience.
- Oversee camp activities, ensuring they are conducted smoothly and safely.
- Facilitate communication between staff and guests.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness and appearance.
- Support Management in ensuring effective stock management while embracing the most economical and profitable practices.
- Coordinate leave schedule management.
- Prepare relevant management and operational reports.
- Provide support in ensuring effective safety & health management.
General Support Functions
- Support cross-departmental coordination to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Assist with logistics, planning, and execution of special events or bespoke guest requests.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required to support the overall success of the lodge.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in luxury hospitality, guest experience, or lodge operations (preferably in remote or safari settings).
- Strong passion for creating meaningful, experiential travel offerings.
- Experience working with or alongside local communities and sustainability initiatives is highly desirable.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to host and engage guests.
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
