Class 7“This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to:
• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction
• Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems
• Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule
• Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
• Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs
• Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs
• Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision
• Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
• Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.
• The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
• Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70lbs.
• Required to wear a safety toe boot that can withstand 75lbs. at all times.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are
critical. Proficiency in reading and writing, ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of Maintenance experience or graduate of Industrial Maintenance Training program or combination of experience and education to meet the 2 year requirement.
Must list job experience related to work history\ history, skills, and education information on application.
Must be actively working during application process
Must have satisfactorily completed probationary period
Must have seven (7) or less attendance points
No written warnings within the previous six (6) months
No written warning with suspensions within the previous twelve (12) months
