JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - Slicer Opr PR03 - Full-Time
Starting pay: $19.65/HR
This position is responsible for ensuring multiple lines are supplied with sliced materials while maintaining safety, quality, and yields for multiple products. This position requires set up, tear down, and operations of various equipment including slicers, sanitizing tanks, scales, and handheld scanners. This position is responsible for maintaining correct product weights, verifying inventory counts, and monitoring temperatures.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include, but are not limited to the following)
- Ability to run a multitude of machines of varying difficulty.
- Ensures all production equipment is prepared on-time for production.
- Responsible for ensuring assigned equipment is set-up and running according to the production schedule including material numbers, weights, temperatures, and quantities.
- Performs scanning of materials, as needed.
- Refills and monitors sanitizing bath.
- Troubleshoots equipment problems and contacts Maintenance Mechanic if necessary.
- Interacts with Supervisors and Line Operators to determine materials needs.
- Provides assistance to lower-level staff. May train new or recently promoted associates.
- Works with Quality Assurance Department to understand, recognize and rectify quality issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing and able to lift 50 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds 100% of the time.
- Must be willing and able to work in a cold environment (30 -40°F temperatures).
- Must be willing and able to walk 100% of the time.
- Must be willing and able to reach with hands, arms, and fingers to handle or feel 100% of the time.
- Must be willing and able to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 100% of the time up to 10 hours per day.
