Description
The Program Officer is responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing core programmatic activities and healthcare provider training initiatives across Tanzania. The primary focus of this role is to design and implement high-quality clinical training plans and schedules that elevate provider knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Alignment & Market Impact;
- Collaborate closely with the internal sales team to ensure product knowledge and service quality are aligned, effectively using clinical education as a strategic tool to support regional sales targets and product movement.
- Budgeting, Reporting & Analysis;
- Develop accurate activity budgets, monitor programmatic data, and submit concise reports showcasing work done and analyzing how field activities translate into sustainable results.
- Community & Awareness Campaigns:
- Coordinate targeted community mobilization and promotional activities to boost brand awareness and product uptake among women of reproductive age.
- Training Program Management;
- Design, coordinate, and execute comprehensive healthcare provider training sessions to increase clinical proficiency, awareness, and trust in the organization's product portfolio across Tanzania.
- Content & Strategy Optimization;
- Develop and continually refine high-impact training curricula, aids, and value-proposition strategies (such as certifications and course credits) that keep providers engaged and loyal to the products.
- Stakeholder Representation;
- Represent strategic interests in external stakeholder, NGO, and partner meetings to build strong institutional relationships.
- Educational Content Review & Marketing Support;
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop and validate clinically accurate educational content related to reproductive health, family planning, and the product portfolio for use across digital, print, and other communication channels. Ensure all educational messaging is evidence-based, compliant with applicable regulations, and aligned with the programmatic objectives and product positioning.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Science, Nursing, Clinical Medicine, or a related field. Clinical experience or a Trainer of Trainees (ToT) certification is highly valued.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in family planning, reproductive health, or healthcare programs within the NGO or private sector. Proven track record in effective planning and execution of field activities.
- Strong sales-oriented capability or experience working alongside commercial teams; ability to align clinical training outcomes with product demand and sales growth.
- Excellent execution skills, budget management, and the ability to seamlessly facilitate communication between clinical environments and internal sales teams.
