# Senior Engineer – Global Facilities Central Engineering, Construction (Water & Waste)
## Job Summary
Provide water and waste construction engineering support for semiconductor facility projects across the U.S. and Asia, covering the full project lifecycle from design through commissioning and handover. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards, while supporting global consistency, sustainability, and operational excellence.
## Main Responsibilities
- Lead water and waste construction engineering across project lifecycle (design, construction, commissioning, and handover)
- Drive delivery of large-scale fab projects in alignment with scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements
- Review and validate water, wastewater, and environmental system designs to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and project requirements
- Provide technical support to resolve construction, installation, and design issues
- Monitor construction progress and ensure timely resolution of technical challenges
- Support development of project cost estimates, schedules, and business justifications
- Coordinate consultants and contractors to ensure effective and aligned project execution
## Other Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (facilities, procurement, manufacturing, operations, IT) to ensure project alignment
- Communicate project updates, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to development and standardization of Best Known Methods (BKMs)
- Support sustainability programs, particularly water conservation, waste reduction, and environmental compliance
- Support capacity planning and infrastructure optimization across global sites
## AI Responsibilities
- Apply AI-assisted tools to improve engineering analysis, system optimization, and project execution efficiency
- Identify opportunities to leverage data and AI for enhanced decision-making and environmental system performance
- Share and adopt AI-enabled best practices to support continuous improvement
## Candidate Profile / Job Requirements
### Minimum Required Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Construction, Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in construction projects as a Water or Waste Engineer
- Experience in EPCM project environments
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and water/waste system designs
- Experience in cost and schedule management
- Ability to work effectively in global, multicultural teams
- Willingness to travel as required
### Must Have Technical Skills
- Water and wastewater systems engineering (e.g., treatment, distribution, waste handling)
- Construction engineering and project execution expertise
- Project controls (cost, schedule, and risk management)
- Engineering design review and regulatory compliance validation
- Technical problem-solving and root cause analysis
### Must Have Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Leadership and coordination across multi-disciplinary teams
- Analytical thinking and decision-making capability
- Strong organizational and planning skills
