Job Description

As a Security Officer Train Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first, values integrity, and brings innovation to daily operations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, entrances, offices, and/or surrounding perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, public areas, and/or restricted locations, assisting with entry procedures, directional support, and enforcement of site rules and post orders.
• Support crowd management and high-traffic movement during peak periods, special events, service disruptions, and/or emergencies while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
