EHS Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. EHS & Safety Management

• Implement, maintain, and continuously improve EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001) in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA / JSA) for manufacturing processes, facilities, equipment, and chemical operations
• Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
• Manage contractor EHS programs and enforce safety controls for high-risk activities (hot work, confined space, work at height, chemical handling, etc.)
• Plan and deliver EHS training to employees and contractors to strengthen safety awareness and culture

2. RBA Sustainability & Customer Audit Readiness

• Ensure compliance with RBA Code of Conduct, especially Health & Safety, Environment, and Management Systems requirements
• Lead or support RBA, customer, and corporate EHS audits, including:
  • SAQ/self-assessment preparation
  • Documentation review and on-site audit coordination
  • Findings analysis, CAPA development, and closure tracking
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, HR, Procurement) to drive RBA and ESG improvement actions
• Monitor and report sustainability and EHS KPIs (e.g., injury rates, environmental indicators, audit status)

3. Regulatory & Chemical Management

• Ensure compliance with local EHS, environmental protection, and fire safety regulations
• Manage chemical safety programs, including chemical approval, SDS management, labeling, storage, and hazard communication
• Support waste management, pollution prevention, and environmental monitoring activities
• Act as EHS liaison with regulatory agencies and customer representatives when required

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Public Health, or related disciplines
• Hands-on experience in EHS / Safety management in a manufacturing environment
• Solid knowledge of occupational safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation
• Experience supporting RBA, customer EHS audits, or sustainability programs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred

• Semiconductor OSAT, chemical plant, or pharmaceutical plant EHS experience strongly preferred
• Experience implementing or maintaining ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 systems
• Familiarity with RBA audit processes and customer sustainability requirements
• EHS-related certifications (e.g., Safety Officer, Occupational Safety & Health Manager)
• Ability to communicate in English for audits, reports, and customer interaction
