Team Leader – Children's Residential Home 🏡👦👧

📍 Location: Stoke-on-Trent
💷 Salary: £37,810.22 per annum (inclusive of sleeps)
⏰ Working Hours: 2 on 4 off shift pattern
🏡 Service: Children's Residential Home
👥 Service Users: Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
🎓 Qualifications Required: Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare
📆 Experience Required: Minimum 18 months' experience within a Children's Residential Home (near-qualified candidates with 60%+ completion of their qualification will be considered)
📄 Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (6–9 Month Maternity Cover)

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Team: Established staff team with a newly appointed manager who has many years of service and longevity within the organisation

Who We Are Looking For…

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Team Leader who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people. You will lead shifts, support the development of the staff team, and help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people.

✔️ Previous experience within an Ofsted Registered Children's Home
✔️ Strong leadership and communication skills
✔️ Ability to build positive and professional relationships with young people
✔️ Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and care planning
✔️ Resilient, adaptable, and able to lead by example
✔️ Confident with record keeping and IT systems

Additional Screening Requirements

✔️ Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is preferred
✔️ Level 3 Residential Childcare is not equivalent to Health & Social Care qualifications
✔️ Applicants from Healthcare, NHS, Adult Care, Supported Living, Domiciliary Care, Nursing Homes, Mental Health Services, or similar settings without Children's Residential experience will not be considered
✔️ Applicants requiring sponsorship will not be considered

⚠️ Individuals with only CQC experience and / or who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home will not be considered.

Additional Opportunities
