About the Team

DoorDash Commerce Platform is our company’s hypergrowth fulfillment platform serving restaurants, grocers, and retailers across the United States and abroad. DoorDash Commerce Platform allows restaurants, grocers, and retailers to enable ecommerce fulfillment for their first-party experiences. 

As part of the Commerce Platform team, the Associate Manager will have the opportunity to help define, test and scale Commerce Platform’s next biggest bets.

About the Role

As an Associate Manager on our Commerce Platform Growth Strategy & Operations team, you will play a critical role in driving our growth and success. As a direct owner of this segment, you will help us to build and execute on our growth strategy across some of the largest and most strategic clients. This includes helping find product market fit, building strategic go to market strategies, partnering cross-functionally to launch solutions, and directly working with our enterprise merchants to scale partnerships and test outcomes.

We dream big and bring the newest products to market. On a typical day, you may work with team members to design experiments that improve quality and operations, test the best new marketing strategies,  address issues that enable our and our merchants’ processes run efficiently, or dive into data to explain performance at the lowest level of detail and make sure we never stop growing. The ideal candidate for this role should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to take ownership and create plans from scratch, and drive execution while obtaining cross-functional buy-in to achieve DoorDash Commerce Platform’'s strategic goals.

You will report into a Senior Manager in our Commerce Platform Restaurants team in our Platform Products organization.

  • Build and own the business Drive growth and adoption of some of our top priority projects
  • Business development – Develop and foster deep relationships with top priority merchant partners to iterate and grow the business.  Key Merchant point of contact within the Strategy & Ops teamGo-to-market strategy – Build a strong understanding of product market fit, value proposition, pricing, and the competitive landscape, and help the team develop a go-to-market strategy based on these inputs. Grow a high-potential offering within a high-growth business.
  • Improve the product – Guide operational improvements for our merchant partners by understanding their needs and working with internal partners to design solutions throughout the product experience. Steer the Commerce Platform product roadmap informed by quantitative analysis and qualitative merchant feedback
  • Leadership – Lead cross functional workstreams across Product, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, Support, Sales and Account Management teams to drive growth and scale.
  • Experiment – Evaluate and test various revenue, cost and quality drivers.

We’re Excited About You Because…

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in finance/management consulting, business operations, business analytics, or high-growth/early-stage startup or entrepreneurial experience is a big plus
  • Your expert communication and interpersonal skills set you apart. You are comfortable at connecting with customers and internal teams to promote products and drive adoption
  • You are a strong analytical thinker who can provide applicable recommendations out of complex fast changing environments that are often 0-1 bets. 
  • You crave responsibility and want to shape the vision and direction of the company 
  • You have experience leveraging AI in your day to day tasks to accelerate your ability to move quickly and test hypotheses. 

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

See below for paid time off details:

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$105,400$155,000 USD
