Description
Technical * * Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment. Demonstrate troubleshooting capabilities on control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on complex high speed packaging lines. Review documentation for maintenance activity using the maintenance database, adequately communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees (e.g., other maintenance techs, operators, engineers, supervisors, etc.), and properly utilize the maintenance inventory system. Lead process improvement initiatives in assigned areas by analyzing equipment maintenance history, identifying significant causes of waste, coordinating with appropriate employees to develop root cause analysis (RCA), and providing maintenance assistance as necessary. Assist in day-to-day support of operators for adjustments, setups, and change overs Assist other maintenance technicians as required Work with engineers and vendors on special projects Use machine tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices to modify machinery as needed Will assist in the training and coaching others on best practices Performs other duties as assigned Ability to work effectively & rotate into other zones and/or production lines. Completion of Industrial Maintenance Degree or certificate preferred. Formal manufacturing maintenance education and/or 3 years of related manufacturing maintenance experience Ability to read and understand complex instructions, prints, flowchart, block diagram, and schematics. Ability to competently use and understand precision testing and diagnostic equipment. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on a frequent basis. Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch and stand during entire shift. Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
