Description
We're looking for a full-time receptionist to join our team! Office Hours are M/T/W/T 8am-5pm and F 8am-1pm. Ideal candidate will have a positive outlook and attitude. Experience working in an office setting is preferred. Willingness to talk to patients and create a warm inviting atmosphere. Applicant must be willing to provide exceptional customer service and care. To be successful candidate will be willing and able to follow written procedures. It's important to have strong attention to detail and good typing skills. Applicant will be excited to grow and be a great team player!
PURPOSE: To ensure that our patients feel welcome and comfortable with and in our office by correctly handling them from the first telephone contact, through their arrival and treatment at the office and departure with another visit scheduled. The role of this individual is to keep the appointment book full, also keeping rescheduled appointments to a minimum and patient flow smooth and efficient.
Duties:
- Be responsible for directing patients to educational information that will be helpful to them.
- Be responsible for the flow of patients. If it jams up, find out why and do what you can to smooth the flow.
- Answer the phone and make outgoing phone calls.
- Call patients to schedule exams.
- Collect fees.
- Be responsible for the completion and preparation all forms that pertain to your area.
- Be responsible for compiling the initial patient chart.
- Ensure patients are scheduled properly.
- Keep the reception/waiting area clean and orderly so it is a pleasant place for patients to wait.
- Check on Insurance eligibility prior to appointments.
