Location: Iran (site-based, with regional and international collaboration)

This newly created role will provide leadership and technical expertise in the stewardship of the company’s tailings and geotechnical assets across its operations in Iran. The Tailings & Geotechnical Manager will ensure best practices are consistently applied in the design, construction, monitoring, and long-term risk management of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) and related geotechnical infrastructure. Acting as Responsible Tailings Facility Engineer (RTFE) for designated TSFs, the role will strengthen governance frameworks, mentor local teams, and collaborate with global experts to guarantee safety, stability, and compliance with international standards.

Main Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering (required).
- Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Soil Mechanics, or related specialization preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mining, geotechnical engineering, or dam/tailings management, including leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience in design, construction, and operation of TSFs, water dams, or related large-scale infrastructure.
- Strong background in geotechnical site investigations, soil characterization, and analysis of tailings and water management systems.
- Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: tailings management, geotechnical engineering, water resources, slurry transport, seismology, or construction management.
- Proficiency in geotechnical and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, slope stability and seepage analysis tools) and MS Office.
- Strong project management skills, including cost estimating, scheduling, and contractor oversight.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multicultural teams. Fluency in English is required; Farsi or other languages are an asset.
- Willingness to travel to multiple sites within Iran and internationally as required.
