Programme Manager – Repairs & Improvement
Maximum £650 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Home Counties
3-6 month initially
Hybrid Working
Reporting into the PMO and Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Housing Programme and Housing Inspection Readiness work.
CVs are being reviewed immediately, and interviews will be taking place week commencing ASAP.
Your role as Programme Manager:
- Accountable for the successful delivery and ongoing monitoring of core strategic programmes within a portfolio of change.
- Focuses on achieving programme objectives, managing programme-level risks and issues, and ensuring benefits are clearly owned, measured, and tracked.
- Works closely with cross-functional senior stakeholders to promote strong governance across programmes.
- Ensures programme information is clear, accurate, and transparent to support effective decision-making.
- Supports critical programmes that enable the council to meet its statutory housing duties.
- Applies a structured programme approach to manage dependencies, risks, and issues, ensuring timely escalation where required.
Your previous experience as a Programme Manager:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale organisational redesign or service transformation, ideally within housing or public sector environments.
- Strong programme and project management skills, with a track record of implementing operating model changes.
- In-depth understanding of housing inspection readiness work
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling reports and presentations for senior audiences.
