Revenue Accounting Specialist

Process and review sales contracts and customer agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies. Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries, including deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, and revenue adjustments. Reconcile revenue accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly. Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to gather necessary documentation and resolve revenue recognition complexities. Participate in the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring all revenue-related activities are completed accurately and on schedule. Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports, providing detailed analysis of revenue trends and variances. Support audit requests by providing documentation and explanations related to revenue transactions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of revenue accounting processes and systems. Maintain accurate and organized revenue accounting records and documentation. --- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably within a technology or software company. Strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers). Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly. Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Experience with a global company or shared service center environment is a plus.
