Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Developer with strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud services, microservices, REST API development, and Node.js. The ideal candidate will design, develop, deploy, and support scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native applications on AWS. Exposure of 5 to 8 years of overall software development is must including a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role :
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices using Node.js and REST APIs.
- Build secure, scalable, and reliable solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, IAM, SNS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, AWS IoT Core, and AWS IoT Device Management.
- Implement serverless and event-driven architectures where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment of AWS-based applications.
- Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, access control, logging, monitoring, and operational controls.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, trouble shooting, and performance optimization.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software using Agile development practices.
- Promote engineering best practices including test-driven development, clean coding, documentation, and maintainable architecture.
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed :
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong experience in microservice development, with very good hands-on experience in REST API design and development using Node.js.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with AWS IoT Core and AWS IoT Device Management, including Jobs and Device Shadows.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, AWS IAM, Amazon SNS, Amazon API Gateway, and Amazon CloudWatch.
- Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines for AWS services.
- Good understanding of cloud-native architecture, serverless design patterns, scalability, reliability, and security best practices.
- Experience in test-driven development and writing unit/integration tests.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Amazon EKS or Kubernetes-based container orchestration.
- Experience with Amazon ECR or other container registries.
- Exposure to Amazon Bedrock and Generative AI use cases.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS Cloud Formation, AWS CDK, or Terraform.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture using AWS messaging and integration services.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently own modules and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps engineers, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Willingness to mentor junior engineers
