Today, this privately held company employs 110 people in 2 locations with revenue at 32 million dollars annually. The company has a thriving Aerospace & Defense line of business with more than 800 Level 1 contracts awarded. Commercial lines of business include relationships with the top four elevator industry OEM’s, and transportation OEM’s.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Total ownership and commitment to corporate safety, financial performance, customer relationships, partnerships and manufacturing outcomes, involving over 200,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and office space on multiple campuses.
- Actively champion a culture of kaizen and lean manufacturing, controlling enterprise resources, and production strategies to ensure the most efficient and effective utilization of materials, equipment and labor.
- Perpetuate and enhance an environment which, daily, promotes employee development. Ensure succession from within.
- Provide executive direction in partnerships including a $40M joint venture delivering complete elevator systems, and a mature office of government contracting.
- Collaborate with the Chair and corporate boards, on key financial decisions, product direction, corporate culture, vision, values and executive assignment.
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering (MBA Preferred)
- Manufacturing experience with a strong Metal Fabrication, Machining, Welding and Assembly background. Engineering and Quality “best practice” point of reference.
- Experience leading Aerospace and Defense contract manufacturing.
- Experience and strong track record with the development of people and building bench strength
- 10 plus years of experience in a senior level, leadership role. Preference is for candidates with experience in roles that had total ownership of Profit / Loss, and Sales results.
- Demonstrated ability to drive changes through influence and collaboration in a team environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship management skills, collaborative style effective internal and external relations.
- Position reports to the Chair of the Board.
