The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a First Line Production Engineering Manager (Level K) to join our team in El Segundo, California.
The selected individual will lead a high-performing team driving production excellence for critical aerospace programs. Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering, with an emphasis on Manufacturing Engineering Planning
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of one or more Production Engineering disciplines and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Extensive experience with MESci systems, specifically with modifying Bill of Materials and updating work instructions
Experience supporting space programs in an assembly, integration, and test environment
Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners
Can up-level existing team by hiring high performance talent, growing leaders and helping under-performing members
