Arts and Sciences | Evolution Ecology and Organismal BiologyThe candidate will support existing and new research and will be advised by Dr. Rachelle Adams. Research expectations will align with active grants in the Adams Lab. Primary responsibilities for the position include assisting graduate and undergraduate students with research projects, maintaining lab equipment, ordering supplies, managing the care of live fungus-growing ant colonies, and implementing and trouble-shooting molecular protocols. The Research Technician assists with data collection and analysis to analyze the outcomes of experiments and maintains an up-to-date and detailed laboratory notebook. The Research Technician performs routine research tasks under general supervision, applies standard procedures to complete assignments, and provides general support to ensure efficient research operations by assisting with the maintenance of laboratory equipment. Technician led projects will be outlined with supervision but then completed and written for publication by the technician.
Required: High School diploma or GED. 1 year of relevant experience required. 0 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree.
