Key Responsibilities
Domain & Functional SME •
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Collections processes, including delinquency and workflow management, recoveries, write-offs, legal collections, and customer communications. • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications aligned with the target collections platform. • Validate functional designs, configurations, and solution approaches to ensure they meet business intent and regulatory requirements.\
Conversion & Data Migration Delivery •
Lead conversion and data migration strategy, including scope definition, data mapping, reconciliation, and validation. • Oversee end-to-end legacy-to-target data conversion, ensuring data quality, completeness, and accuracy. • Define and manage mock conversions, dress rehearsals, and cutover planning. • Drive resolution of data issues, gaps, and defects in collaboration with technical teams. • Coordinate with architecture, development, testing, and infrastructure teams to ensure aligned delivery. • Manage dependencies across workstreams, vendors, and system integrators. • Ensure adherence to the bank’s delivery standards, SDLC, and governance frameworks.
Testing & Readiness • Oversee functional, system, integration, and testing from a business and SME perspective. • Ensure test scenarios fully cover collections processes, conversion outcomes, and edge cases. • Support business readiness activities including operational handover, and hypercare.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management •
Serve as a primary liaison between business, IT, vendors, and system integrators. • Provide clear status reporting, risk management, and issue escalation to senior stakeholders. • Guide vendors on functional expectations and validate delivered outcomes.
Required Experience & Qualifications Experience •
10+ years of experience in Collections systems, platforms, or operations within banking or financial services. • Proven experience in collections re-platforming, system replacement, or major transformation programs. • Strong hands-on experience with data conversion / migration in large-scale enterprise implementations. • Demonstrated success in functional delivery leadership, managing complex dependencies and timelines. • Experience working with third-party vendors or system integrators in regulated environments.
Skills Required: •
Deep understanding of Collections lifecycle and business rules. • Strong knowledge of conversion methodologies, data mapping, reconciliation, and cutover execution. • Ability to read and validate functional designs, data models, and interface specifications. • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in complex migration scenarios. ## RESTRICTED ## • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to bridge business and technology teams effectively. • Strong decision-making skills with a delivery and outcomes mindset. • Comfortable operating in high-pressure, time-bound transformation programs.
• Experience with commercial or consumer collections platforms (e.g., vendor-based collections systems). • Exposure to regulatory or compliance-driven collections environments. • Prior experience in dual-role positions (SME + Delivery / Functional Lead).
