Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruises is an integral part of HMG, providing the highest quality cruises and catered events on Lake Coeur d'Alene.
The Beverage Inventory & Stock Specialist plays a critical role in supporting beverage operations by ensuring all bars, liquor rooms, storage areas, coolers, and inventory locations remain organized, clean, fully stocked, and operationally ready. This position helps maintain efficient service while supporting an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Maintain organized, clean, and fully stocked beverage inventory and storage areas.
- Support all bar operations by ensuring products and supplies are available for service.
- Maintain accurate inventory organization and communicate inventory shortages promptly.
- Ensure all beverage storage areas meet company cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
- Support efficient operations through proactive stocking, inventory rotation, and attention to detail.
Major Duties
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, organize, and stock all beverage inventory and operating supplies, including:
- Liquor
- Beer
- Wine
- Soda and mixers
- Syrups
- Cups
- Straws
- Garnishes
- Bar supplies
- Souvenir merchandise
- Other beverage-related inventory
- Replenish liquor bottles and beverage inventory at all bar locations.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock items.
- Assist with inventory counts, audits, and receiving deliveries.
- Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, or supply shortages.
Organization & Facility Standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly labeled liquor rooms, storage areas, stockrooms, and inventory shelves.
- Organize souvenir merchandise and retail inventory according to company standards.
- Keep refrigerators, beverage coolers, and walk-in coolers clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
- Rotate inventory using First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures to maintain product quality and minimize waste.
- Maintain clean and organized boat holds used for beverage and retail storage.
Operations & Communication
- Work closely with management and bar staff to ensure all beverage stations are fully stocked and service-ready.
- Promptly report equipment malfunctions, refrigeration issues, damaged products, or maintenance concerns.
- Notify management of any unsafe, unclean, or disorganized conditions involving:
- Boats
- Boat holds
- Bars
- Liquor rooms
- Refrigerators and coolers
- Inventory shelving
- Souvenir displays and storage areas
- Follow all company safety, sanitation, and organizational standards.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while supporting daily beverage operations.
Schedule Requirements and Physical Demands
- Able to work an average of 40 hours per week.
- Able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Able to repeatedly lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 10–12 hours per shift.
- Able to safely navigate stairs, docks, boats, storage rooms, and vessel holds.
- Able to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
- Able to bend, reach, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive stocking tasks.
- Must be dependable, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- While a uniform is provided, a neat, clean, and professional appearance is expected at all times.
