Job Description

As a Security Officer Graveyard Patrol Post in West Covina, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach to daily responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related events according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, while helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Assist with access control activities by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when required, and helping to direct visitors and/or contractors in accordance with location procedures.
• Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel and communicating clearly with staff and first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• One or more years of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
