Senior Transport Supervisor

We’re looking for a Senior Transport Supervisor to join our Transport team in Auckland. You’ll lead day-to-day fleet and driver operations, oversee frontline supervisor performance, and keep fleet availability and service delivery on track, helping us deliver safe, reliable transport support across projects and internal asphalt operations.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

This is a technical, hands-on leadership role in a busy 24/7 transport environment. You’ll be trusted to keep complex operations running smoothly, balancing fleet performance, maintenance follow-up, compliance, shift readiness and delivery standards. It’s a role for someone who can stay calm under pressure, make sound operational calls, and lift performance across people, plant and process.
 

Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities

• Lead daily transport operations across fleet, drivers and supervisors to keep work moving safely and efficiently.

• Monitor fleet availability, defect management, maintenance follow-up and vehicle presentation.

• Drive strong operational discipline across compliance, shift handovers, scheduling and delivery performance.

• Support frontline leaders, manage performance issues and respond to operational changes with practical decision-making.

• Partner with project and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable transport outcomes across the business.

• Proven leadership experience in heavy transport, logistics or a similar operational environment.

• Strong technical understanding of fleet operations, maintenance coordination and transport compliance requirements.

• Experience leading leaders, lifting performance and holding high standards in a fast-paced setting.

• Sound judgement, resilience and a calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.

• A strong commitment to safety, wellbeing and getting the detail right.
