Lead Counselor – Licensed
Location: High Focus Centers – Northeast Philadelphia, PA
High Focus Centers is a leading provider of outpatient mental health and substance use treatment throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. Through our specialized programs—Rehab After Work, The Light Program, and Seeds of Hope—we provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adults and adolescents facing mental health and co-occurring disorders.
We are seeking an experienced Lead Counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) to provide clinical leadership. This role combines direct clinical care with leadership responsibilities, supporting both clients and fellow clinicians while helping ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based treatment.
Schedule
Monday–Friday
- Three daytime shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Two evening shifts: Either 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Key Responsibilities

Supervise a team of therapists providing outpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders.

Evaluate clients to determine appropriate level of care and assign DSM-5-TR diagnoses.

Assist counselors in developing comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.

Facilitate treatment team meetings and participate in case consultations.

Provide individual and group supervision to counselors and other assigned staff.

Maintain a caseload, as necessary, to support program operations.

Support the Program Director in the development of new programs and services.

Conduct chart audits and complete clerical tasks related to client documentation.

Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for clients, including crisis intervention when needed.

Ensure the clinical program operates as scheduled and meets all licensing, regulatory, and organizational standards.
Education & Experience
-
Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

Active Pennsylvania licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
