About this role
As B2B Pricing Advisor, you’ll play a key role in driving performance across bp’s commercial fuels portfolio in New Zealand.
With strong visibility across the fuel supply chain, you'll use data, market intelligence and customer insights to develop pricing strategies that drive growth, strengthen customer relationships and deliver results across bp’s dealer, distributor and fleet portfolios.
Working closely with the Sales and Supply teams, you'll turn complex market dynamics into clear recommendations and make decisions that have a direct impact on business performance.
Key Accountabilities
Develop pricing strategies and customer offers using detailed analysis and insights, working with the B2B Pricing Manager and Sales teams.
Monitor competitor activity and market conditions, and turn insights into clear recommendations.
Build strong relationships with Fleet, Dealer and Distributor sales teams to understand customer needs and support winning outcomes.
Improve pricing models and processes to enhance accuracy and timely pricing.
Be a key member of the ANZ B2B pricing team, sharing knowledge and ideas, establishing standard methodologies, and pursuing synergies in ways of working across New Zealand and Australia.
Participate in global pricing forums and projects where required, implementing learnings from other markets to NZ.
Ensure all pricing decisions are compliant with bp governance and regulatory requirements.
About you
You're commercially curious, analytically strong and results driven. You're confident working with data, and equally comfortable influencing stakeholders and translating insights into action.
Essential Skills and Experience
University degree in Economics, Finance or a related discipline, with demonstrated ability in pricing, sales, supply or strategy, fuel industry favourable but not essential.
Strong commercial acumen and customer-focused approach.
Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify opportunities and translate insights into practical recommendations. Skills in developing complex models and visualisations in Excel and Power BI advantageous.
Great teammate, capably building strong working relationships across teams with a collaborative approach.
Strong communication and influencing skills with all levels of the organisation and between technical and business users.
