What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end product analytics strategy for a large-scale consumer mobile application.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to drive key business decisions.
- Analyze user behavior across the customer lifecycle, including onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, and monetization.
- Develop dashboards, reporting frameworks, and actionable insights that influence product roadmap and business strategy.
- Lead experimentation efforts, A/B testing, cohort analysis, and conversion funnel optimization.
- Define and monitor key subscription metrics including trial conversion, trial-to-paid conversion, renewal rates, LTV, retention, and user segmentation.
- Work with mobile user acquisition teams to evaluate attribution performance across AppsFlyer, Adjust, SKAdNetwork (SKAN), and other measurement platforms.
- Leverage AI/LLM tools to improve analytics workflows and business insights.
- Lead and mentor a small team while remaining hands-on with SQL and data analysis.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Product/Data Analytics for consumer software products.
- 2+ years of experience working on B2C mobile applications.
- 2–5 years of direct people management experience in a player-coach capacity.
- Proven experience owning product analytics, including:
- Conversion funnels
- Feature adoption
- User segmentation
- Retention analysis
- Cohort analysis
- Experimentation / A-B testing
- Deep understanding of subscription business metrics:
- Trial conversion
- Trial-to-paid conversion
- Lifetime Value (LTV)
- Renewal and retention metrics
- Strong proficiency with SQL and experience using modern analytics tools such as BigQuery, dbt, Mixpanel, Amplitude, and Python.
- Experience with mobile attribution platforms such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, or similar MMPs, including SKAN.
- Practical experience using AI/LLM tools to improve analytics or business processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear business recommendations for executive stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.
