The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

JOB INPUTS

Strategic and operational execution role responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sustainability initiatives that align with an organization’s environmental, social, and economic goals.

  • Recommend and lead the creation of sustainability strategies, long and short term, and climate-related programs, including GHG emissions reduction, water conservation, waste management, and renewable energy initiatives

  • Synthesize complex sustainability data and insights into compelling narratives and visualizations that drive stakeholder understanding, decision making and action

  • Translate complex sustainability and ESG concepts into clear, digestible value statements that resonate with diverse audiences and support informed engagement 

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for data collection, assessment and integration of sustainable practices

  • Develop and maintain valuation models, forecasts and KPIs to track progress, prepare dashboards, and report to senior leadership

  • Research and stay abreast of changes to international protocols, policies, and standards.

  • Ensure adherence to environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards; stay updated on global sustainability trends and best practices  

  • Manage sustainability projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational priorities

  • Identify, apply for sustainability initiatives

  • Review and advise on client proposed contractual ESG agreements

  • Support coordination, facilitation and execution of Holman internal employee engagement activities for sustainability

  • Present Holman’s sustainability philosophy, plans, actions and KPIs to internal and external parties, as needed

  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field

  • 5+ years in sustainability or environmental program management across multiple functions

  • Excellent project management, data analysis, and program development

  • Strong attention to detailed, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines including complex datasets and narratives

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership coordinating cross functional inputs, setting strategic direction

  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities

  • Knowledge of renewable energy, carbon offsets and other market-based mechanisms

  • Experience in completing emissions and ESG assessments

  • Hands-on experience supporting or managing external sustainability or climate disclosures.

  • Strong ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.

Preferred Education & Experience: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong ability to engage with clients and prospects on environmental interests and requests

  • Familiarity assessing proposed client contracts for environmental goals and requests

  • Experience with EnergyCap and Workiva systems

  • Experience collaborating with third party verification vendors

  • Experience with managing global environmental best practices and regulations

  • Vendor relationship management

  • Creating and proposing organizational environmental goals and implementation plans

  • Successfully leading, or executing, the implementation and ongoing management of sustainable programs and features

  • Completing industry, judicial and client specific ESG assessments and compliance reporting

  • Ensuring data integrity and reporting within utility, carbon, electric and emissions tracking systems

  • Acting as organizational SME for ESG topics communicating with internal partners, senior leaders and clients

  • Managing vendors in relation to sustainability needs

Benefits:

Regular Full-Time

Temporary or Part-Time

In geographic areas with statutory paid sick leave, part-time and temporary employees will receive a paid sick leave benefit that meets the mandated requirements.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $87,550.00 - $124,755.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
