A Brief Overview:
The Supply Chain Logistics Dispatcher serves as the central coordinator for courier operations, managing and assigning couriers, specimen transports, and delivery requests through an electronic dispatch system. This role ensures timely communication of routine, will-call, and STAT requests, monitors completion within required service levels, and supports inventory, supply distribution, and order fulfillment for laboratory and outreach departments.

The Supply Chain Logistics Dispatcher is a critical member of the Supply Chain Logistics team at Endeavor Health, responsible for coordinating courier operations, specimen transportation, supply deliveries, and other logistics services that ensure seamless movement of resources across the health system.
What you will do:
- Call/Request Dispatching: Receive, organize, and assign stat request pickups to couriers based on driver bandwidth, location, and availability.
- Order picking and staging: Pick orders placed by clinical departments and place the deliveries and packages in predetermined areas for couriers to deliver.
- Route Rationalization: Collaborate with leadership and couriers to increase driver efficiency by evaluating and improving routes
- Technology Utilization: Utilize various applications such as Soft Express, Navman, or Workday to perform daily activities
- Driver Telematics: Communicate driver telematics scores in real time to encourage safe driving tactics.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures related to the safe handling of regulated parcels based on standards established by OSHA, EPA, FDA, etc.
What you will need:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent Required
Minimum Licensure Requirements
- Must possess a valid Illinois class "D" driver's license
- Must have held a valid driver's license for three (3) years prior to the date of application
- Must have a good driving record subject to State driver motor vehicle verification to comply with Hospital insurance requirements
- Within three (3) years of date of application or promotion, must not have been convicted of:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs
- Reckless driving
- Leaving the scene of an accident involving death or personal injury
- Drag racing
- Manslaughter
- Reckless homicide
- Reckless conduct from the use of a motor vehicle or other serious driving infractions/convictions.
Minimum Work Experience
- 1 year experience in a Courier or Dispatcher role in the transportation industry preferred.
